If a patient provides feedback that they want less reminders, or that they no longer want to receive communications at all about their overdue recall, you can change that setting on the individual patient's profiles.
Updating Patient Preferences

Go to the Patient's Profile

Click on Edit to the right of Patient Info

Click the Settings tab → scroll down to the Patient Recalls section

Toggle off the Patient Recalls button to stop ALL messages from going out
OR -
Turn off any touchpoint to LIMIT how many times the patient is contacted

Click Save
💡If you only want to turn off settings temporarily, and you plan to turn Recalls back on for this patient at a later date (ex: when they’re back from vacation), then you can “Add a Follow-up” to their Patient Profile to set a reminder for staff to turn it back on. Follow this article for how-to:
